The City College dining hall is the centrally located and provides a healthy, interesting and varied menu all prepared on site by our kitchen staff.
For breakfast there is a choice of cereals, breads, fruit and at least one hot dish every day.
For lunch and dinner there is a choice of mains with a vegetarian option always available. Fruit, vegetables, self-serve salads, desserts and a variety of drinks help to make meal-times enjoyable, social occasions.
Sunday brunch is a firm favourite with our residents and in winter homemade soups are also available.
As we know the importance of food to young people -toast, spreads and drinks are available 24 hours a day at the toast-time bench in the dining hall.
Formal meals, themed dinners and other treats also make a break from routine dining.

Vegetarian and Special Dietary Requirements
If you have a special dietary requirement such as a religious or cultural food preference, allergies, intolerances or similar you must contact City College to discuss your needs before accepting a place at the College. The kitchen team are experienced in catering for special dietary requirements and will make every reasonable effort to manage a special diet, including vegan diets. However, it may not be possible to cater for all needs.
Our recently renovated 'Attic' has comfy sofas that are excellent to sprawl out on, but you’ll have to sit up if there’s a big game on! We have Sky TV, a DVD collection, gaming console and regular movie nights (popcorn included). Pool table, foosball, table tennis, gaming consoles, and board games also available.
Enjoy a regular workout in our exercise room. Our gym includes; rowing machine, cross trainer, treadmill, exercise bike, boxing bag, medicine balls, swiss balls and resistance bands.
Wi-fi is available throughout the college and a printer is available 24/7. Although most students now have their own devices, PCs are available. Photocopying, printing, and scanning services are available from Reception.
All residents are given a key which opens the College main resident gates after 7pm and gets you into the public resident areas and your apartment. You are able to come and go freely while at the same time the College grounds and residents are kept safe. Security Cameras Operate 24hours for the safety of the College, its Staff and Residents.
Each apartment has a telephone for internal or local calls and it has its own number so your friends can call you.
The laundry facilities are free to use for residents - just provide your own laundry powder. An iron and ironing board are available in each apartment.
Apartment lounges and bathrooms are cleaned three times per week. Your room is your responsibility and a vacuum cleaner is provided.
Car Parks and Bike Storage
There are a limited number of car parks available at $400 for the academic year.
The local mountain bike tracks are popular and a good way to maintain a healthy lifestyle. There are a number of lockable bike sheds in addition to open bike sheds. Please bring a lock for your bike.
