Residential Assistants (RAs) are available in the evenings and at weekends to give advice and assistance. Their role is to help with Hall life and study. Each RA has a group of students who they are responsible for. City College is apartment style accommodation. Each group of apartments is organised around a stairwell. There are two RAs to each stairwell, a male and a female. The RAs work as a team, and Residents have a choice of RA to approach for help.

City College has RAs from all of the contributing institutions. The Head of College and Senior RAs, Lauren McPhee and Danny Sargeant, live on site and are available at all times for urgent matters. All other staff are here to help and make the year as comfortable and worthwhile as possible.
